Hands Helping Hands is a group of friends and family with a common goal - providing assistance to a village in Nepal.

Phase II has arrived! Irrigation.

Empowering one man - makes a difference for an entire family.
Making a difference for one family can help an entire village.

Phase I of Hands Helping Hands has made a difference. Thanks to the efforts of 100’s of members of Hands Helping Hands and the money you raised, one man and his family are now able to redirect their attention to help their fellow villagers. With basic needs met; shelter and the ability to grow enough food to feed his family, Nabin has been empowered, and given the confidence and wherewithal to join to efforts of Hands Helping Hands. Nabin has begun to realize his potential to make a difference for his entire villager. More>>

Phase 2

Phase 2 - Between Sept and Dec 2008, Nabin worked tirelessly amongst his fellow villagers listening to their needs to hear what the villagers felt would help them the most. Following weeks of meetings and discussions, facing a variety of challenges; villagers of varying castes, with religious differences and socioeconomic variability, the villagers narrowed their focus to two projects. The villagers agreed they were in need of improved education for their children and the farmers of Lahachwok were in need of irrigation for their crops. After serious consideration, the villagers determined that irrigation for their farmland made the most sense. More>>

Thank You

Thank you again for everyone’s generosity! From the beginning when Brad and I said, do you think we can do this? Can we really get all these people to join in and help? The answer was yes, right from the start we knew it would be possible to pull together our friends and family to help a family in need. What we were not prepared for was, how fast and how overwhelming the support would be. I have always explained to Nabin that I am not the one who has made this possible, that many, many people in Canada have joined in to help him make his dream come true. He says on the phone, “sister, I have no words to describe how you have made our family feel, I say to my family as long as we are alive we will never forgot the kindness. Please sister, say thank you to the team.”
So, thank you team!

We can do no great things, only small things with great love.
